Credit: This Old House.  Stale gas 4 weeks.  Gas in carburetor gums up.  Disengage spark plug. Change oil once a year.  Recycle oil.  30wt oil.  20 ounces of oil.  Check air filter.  Rubber socket to remove spark plug.  

Credit: Steve's Small Engine Saloon.  Pull off spark plug lead.  Carburetor side down.  Air filter up.  Piston has to be at top dead center = valves closed.
